These terms are the agreement between you and Meetup Club. By using the service you agree to them. We've kept them as plain as we can.
Who can use Meetup Club
You must be at least 13 years old. If you're under 18, use Meetup Club with a parent or guardian's permission. By using it, you confirm you meet these requirements.
Your account
Sign-in is passwordless — a passkey on your device, or an email when you RSVP. You're responsible for activity that happens through your account, so keep your device and email secure. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has access.
How you agree to behave
Follow our Code of Conduct. Don't use Meetup Club to break the law, harass or endanger anyone, spam, impersonate others, scrape or overload the service, or abuse the Concierge with automated traffic. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you create — your profile, the Beacons you light, the messages you post. You give us permission to host and display that content as needed to run the service. You're responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it. We may moderate, label, or remove content to keep the community safe.
In-person gatherings — read this
Meetup Club helps people find and organize gatherings that happen in real life. We don't run, supervise, vet, or guarantee those gatherings, the venues, or the people who attend them. You take part at your own risk. Use good judgment, meet in public places, and look out for one another. Your safety is your own responsibility, and to the fullest extent the law allows, Meetup Club is not liable for what happens at a gathering.
The Concierge is automated
The Concierge is AI. It can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Treat what it says as a helpful starting point, not gospel, and verify anything that matters. It is not professional legal, medical, financial, or safety advice.
Sponsors
Some content may be supported by a sponsor. When it is, it's clearly labeled, it's held to the same standards as everything else, and sponsors do not get access to your private information.
The service is provided “as is”
We work hard to make Meetup Club good and reliable, but we provide it without warranties, and we may change or discontinue features. To the fullest extent the law allows, Meetup Club is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Ending things
You can stop using Meetup Club any time, and you can ask us to delete your account (see the Privacy page). We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these terms or the Code of Conduct.
Changes & governing law
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above and surface significant changes. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
